Loch Measc Distillery — Crafted Against All Odds
Nestled on the wild shores of Loch Measc in Co. Mayo, our story begins in a forgotten building — long abandoned and hidden from view. We brought it back to life with care and vision, crafting a micro-distillery that reflects the rugged beauty around it.
Since 2016, we’ve been handcrafting premium spirits on the shores of Lough Mask, beginning with our small-batch Gin and Vodka. In 2021, we were proudly granted Geographical Indication status and celebrated a milestone by distilling our very first Loch Measc Single Malt Whiskey.
Everything we create is guided by instinct, tradition, and sustainability. Our stunning copper pot stills were forged by master coppersmiths and inspired by the ancient Alembic design — every hammer mark visible, every curve shaped with purpose.

Andrew was raised nearby, immersed in a life of craft and heritage. As head distiller, he brings a raw, unfiltered style to his work — trusting his senses, not spreadsheets. Every cask he creates is a reflection of his deep connection to this land and its untamed spirit.
From rebuilding the distillery walls himself to forging whiskey in hand-shaped copper stills, Andrew brings a rare intensity to his work — the kind that can’t be taught.

Every year, we release a small number of handcrafted casks — each one a rare expression of the land, the water, and the instincts behind it.
Whether you're a whiskey lover, collector, or someone who wants to gift something truly meaningful, owning a cask is more than an investment — it's a legacy.
Every cask includes 3 years of storage, insurance, and maturation. You’ll receive regular updates, optional tasting samples, and a chance to visit your cask in person. When ready, you can bottle it for yourself, for gifts, or explore resale opportunities.
